Mega Millions jackpot winning ticket sold in Florida

(NBC, KYMA) - Someone in the state of Florida became an instant multi-millionaire Tuesday.

According to a statement from the lottery, a single winning ticket in Tuesday's draw was sold in the Sunshine State worth an estimated $800 million, just over $344 million if they take the cash option.

It was the third Mega Millions jackpot won in 2026, and the 10th largest jackpot in the game's history.

No other details have been released at this point.

The jackpot will now reset to $50 million for the next draw happening on Friday, July 31.
