Tornado in Wisconsin leaves a trail of destruction

FOX CROSSING, Wis. (NBC, KYMA) - A tornado left damage behind in Fox Crossing, Wisconsin and nearby Appleton Monday.

A tornado damaged homes in Fox Crossing, tearing away parts of roofs and scattering debris across roadways.

Eyewitness video captured the destruction as the storm moved through the area.

Nearby Appleton was also hit after the national weather service upgraded the severe thunderstorm to a tornado-warned storm.

Damage assessments continue as crews work to clean up the affected areas.
