Demonstrators rally just hours after fatal ICE shooting in Maine

BIDDEFORD, MA. (NBC, KYMA) - Demonstrators rally in Biddeford, Maine just hours after a fatal shooting that involved U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Many near by residents as well as local politicians showed up to support the community.

"I'm feeling devastated, just heartbroken at where we are as a country. Like my signs says, our immigrant neighbors make our community strong, and I want to protect them at all costs," said Althea Turner, a Maine resident.

Another Maine resident, Annemarie Morse, had stronger words saying, "I think ICE needs to be defunded, no more money for ICE, and we need justice for everyone that has been harmed by this organization."
