Smoke turns sky in British Columbia orange

(CBS, KYMA) - Smoke from an out-of-control wildfire in British Columbia shrouded skies in Kamloops Tuesday, significantly affecting visibility, officials said.

According to the British Columbia Wildfire Service, the Brunswick Creek wildfire began on July 2 near Boston Bar, southwest of Kamloops, and was an estimated 2,594 hectares (6,410 acres) in size as of Wednesday.

The fire prompted evacuations and partial road closures as it spread Tuesday.
