Shooting in Ohio leaves four dead, including police officer

RITTMAN, Ohio (NBC, KYMA) - Four people, including a police officer, were killed in a shooting Sunday in Rittman, Ohio.

Officers responding to a 911 call about a disturbance at a home were met by gunshots as they arrived on the scene.

It was during that exchange of gunfire that one Rittman officer was killed, and two others were also injured. Those two officers conditions are unknown at this time.

A K-9 officer was also among those injured in the incident.

Wayne County Sheriff Tom Ballinger says the suspect involved in the incident was later found dead inside the home, along with two other victims.

The shooting is being investigated by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
