Seven injured in shooting in New Jersey

TRENTON, N.J. (NBC, KYMA) - Gunfire erupted Tuesday night in Trenton, New Jersey, leaving seven people injured, including two in critical condition.

According to police, the incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. Eastern.

Officials say officers responded to the scene and found "several victims" suffering from gunshot wounds.

They were all taken to nearby hospitals, with two in critical condition, and five in stable condition.

Police are investigating what led up to the shooting.

No information concerning any suspects related to the shooting has been released.

At the scene, nearly 20 evidence markers littered the ground throughout the intersection overnight and a vehicle nearby could be seen with a shattered back window following the incident.
