Strong thunderstorm in Oklahoma produces twin tornadoes

OSAGE COUNTY, Okla. (CBS, KYMA) - A severe thunderstorm capable of producing tornadoes moved through northeast Oklahoma on Sunday, producing twin rotations.

Harry Weinman captured footage of a "tornadic supercell" and a "satellite twin" near Foraker at about 8 p.m. Central, where the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Tornado Warning and a Severe Thunderstorm Warning.

"A severe thunderstorm located near Foraker is moving east at 25 mph. This storm has a history of producing a tornado. Large hail and damaging winds are possible as well," the NWS wrote. "Take shelter immediately if you are in the path of this storm!"

The weather service warned citizens of tennis ball-sized hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph, with the greatest tornado potential in the region continuing through to 9 p.m. Central.
