Wildlife officers in Colorado relocate 700-pound moose

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS, KYMA) - Wildlife officers relocated a 700-pound female moose Friday after it wandered into a Colorado Springs neighborhood.

The Colorado Parks and Wildlife's Southeast Region (CPW SE Region) released the footage on X, where they wrote, "Our officers responded to a northern Colorado Springs neighborhood Friday to help a ~2 1/2 yrs old cow (female) moose return to appropriate habitat just in time for the weekend."

CPW SE Region said they immobilized the moose and carried her to a wildlife trailer.

Once in the trailer, officers gave the moose a "wake-up drug and made certain she was on her feet and ready for transport to appropriate habitat west of Colorado Springs."
