Afroman wins lawsuit over use of police raid footage in his music videos

(NBC, KYMA) - A major court victory for a Grammy-nominated rapper as Afroman won a defamation lawsuit filed by seven Ohio Sheriff's deputies.

The officers sued him over music videos that included home security footage to mock their 2022 raid of his home.

Seeking $4 million in damages, the deputies said they were publicly harassed over the viral clips.

The case didn't go far though, with a panel finding Afroman not liable on any of the 13 claims after less than a day.
