Empire State Building celebrates Indiana Hoosiers’ win

NEW YORK CITY (NBC, KYMA) - Celebrations for Indiana's historic championship win reached well beyond campus, all the way to New York City.

The Empire State Building lit up in cream and crimson Monday night to honor the national champion Indiana Hoosiers.

The iconic New York City landmark glowed in the school's colors for one hour, celebrating Indiana's 27-21 victory over the Miami Hurricanes in the College Football Playoff National Championship.

While Bloomington and Miami were thousands of miles away, Hoosiers pride was on full display on one of the world's most recognizable buildings, marking Indiana University's first-ever national title in the playoff era.
