Anti-ICE protesters stage sit-in at Target store in St. Paul
ST. PAUL, Minn. (CBS, KYMA) - Protesters staged a sit-in at a Target store in St Paul, Minnesota Monday to demand that the corporation bar U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from operating in its stores and parking lots.
Footage filmed by Clint Combs shows demonstrators sitting in a Target store and participating in an anti-ICE singalong.
"We won't stop fighting 'til ICE is gone," they sang.
Local activist group Unidos MN have accused corporations like Target of collaborating with ICE and are demanding that the company publicly call for ICE to leave Minnesota, as well as post signage at its stores denying entrance to immigration agents without signed judicial warrants.
