One in 10 teens prefer AI chatbots over human conversation
(CBS, KYMA) - Researchers in Britain found one in 10 teenagers find conversations with AI chatbots more satisfying than talking with actual people.
According to a study from the BMJ Group, one in three would choose AI over humans for serious conversations.
Researchers suggest problematic chatbot use is a new mental health risk that should be screened by doctors.
Signs to look for include treating a-I as a friend, using it compulsively, or increasing social isolation.
