Two dead, multiple injured in shooting in Dallas

DALLAS (CBS, KYMA) - Two people are dead and multiple are injured after a shooting in Downtown Dallas early Monday morning, according to police.

According to the Dallas Police Department (DPD), officers responded to a disturbance call around 2:00 a.m. Central in the area of Commerce and S. Harwood Street.

The spokesperson said multiple people were shot at the scene. The suspect shot and killed a victim and the suspect was shot and killed by police, CBS News Texas confirmed.

The suspect and one victim are dead, DPD said. Several injured people were taken to the hospital. DPD didn't say how many were transported, but did say no police officers were injured.
