Full grand jury never saw James Comey’s indictment
(CNN, KYMA) - Interim U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan says the full grand jury never reviewed the final indictment against former FBI Director James Comey.
Her remarks came Wednesday during a hearing on whether Comey's indictment should be thrown out.
His lawyers say he's being targeted by President Donald Trump for speaking out against his administration.
During that hearing, prosecutors said instead of presenting a new indictment after the grand jury declined to pursue one of the counts against Comey, Halligan brought an altered version for the foreperson to sign.
There was only one additional grand juror in the room at the time, not the entire panel.
The judge also said he won't be ruling on the case Wednesday, calling the issues "too wavy."
