Cars drive through flooded roads in Las Vegas amid torrential rain

LAS VEGAS (CBS, KYMA) - Heavy rounds of rain brought flash flooding to the Las Vegas region Tuesday, with localized flooding inundating roads, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Footage captured by Ben Lam in Las Vegas shows a heavy downpour and a road swamped with floodwater several inches deep.

"A little bit or rain in Vegas today," he wrote in a post on X.

The NWS issued a flood warning for the area. The downpour and flooding come as a storm system gripped the southwestern United States.
