Otters at the Oregon Zoo sink jack-o’-lanterns into baskets

PORTLAND, Ore. (CBS, KYMA) - The Trail Blazers better watch their backs as they are not Portland's only basketball stars, according to amazing video taken by the Oregon Zoo.

The zoo in Portland posted the video to X showing a trio of energetic sea otters demonstrating their skills dunking jack-o'-lanterns into hoops in their habitat.

The Oregon Zoo captioned the footage simply, "Punkin dunkin."

The zoo told Storyful the otters in the video are rescues named Lincoln, Juno, and Sushi. They practice dunking basketballs, and in this case pumpkins, as part of their regular training and enrichment.

"It helps their joints stay healthy, strengthens bonds with their care staff, and keeps them active and engaged," the zoo said.
