Study shows longer walks may be key to healthy heart

(NBC, KYMA) - Longer walks may be the key to a heathy heart. A new study showed a lower risk of heart disease in adults who walk in spans of 15 minutes or longer per day.

The Annals of Internal Medicine studied older adults in the U.K. for over a decade for their research.

The study found that people who walked in longer spurts had the lowest risk of dying of heart disease. That's compared to people who don't take long walks as those folks had the highest risk.

Researchers say it's never too late to start walking.
