Firefighters in Colorado rescue and give oxygen to two cats

DENVER (CBS, KYMA) - Colorado's South Metro Fire Rescue (SMFR) rescued and gave oxygen to two cats they had saved from a house fire in Denver Monday.

Footage released by SMFR shows the firefighters holding the cats and administering oxygen "as a precaution."

The cats were both subsequently released to their owner, the post said.

SMFR said they were still investigating the cause of the fire, but confirmed on X that all residents of the house had been safely evacuated; two additional cats had been found, and all felines were "doing well."
