Law enforcement looking for suspect in Montana bar shooting
ANACONDA, Mont. (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - Law enforcement looking for an Army Veteran accused of killing four people in Montana say there's an indication the suspected gunman is still in the area.
Police say 45-year-old Michael Brown, who was seen shirtless and shoeless, opened fire with a rifle inside the Owl Bar in the mountain town of Anaconda Friday morning.
Over the weekend, authorities identified the victims, including a bartender and three patrons.
Officials say Brown, who lives next to the bar, fled the scene in a white pickup truck and was briefly pursued by law enforcement.
"There was a pursuit roughly around noon Friday. There was some confusion because there were two white vehicles that were involved, there were some federal assets that were involved in that pursuit," said Austin Knudsen, Montana Attorney General.
Authorities say Brown has a history of mental health issues and is considered armed and extremely dangerous.
They're offering a $7,500 reward for any information leading to his arrest.
