Severe weather in Oklahoma City causes streets to flood

OKLAHOMA CITY (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Oklahoma City was hit by severe weather Saturday.

Thunderstorms in the area brought high winds and torrential downpours to the city, causing several streets to flood.

Some locations saw more than six inches of rain in under two hours.

Video captured shows a truck off the road and nearly submerged in the high water.

Elsewhere, more cars ran into trouble as other streets in the city also flooded.

Forecasters are warning many creeks and streams across the city are full, and isolated storms could persist in the region through Monday.
