DOJ review of Jeffrey Epstein case finds no evidence of client list

(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - The Department of Justice (DOJ) says their review of the Jeffrey Epstein case found no evidence of an incriminating client list.

According to a DOJ memo released over the weekend, there is no evidence that would lead to additional prosecutions tied to Epstein's sex trafficking ring.

The memo also found that the the convicted sex offender died by suicide in his New York City jail cell in 2019, and no evidence was found to suggest he had participated in blackmail.

The memo comes after Attorney General Pam Bondi said in February that files related to Epstein did include a list of clients.

Public court records from a 2015 lawsuit tied to Epstein included references to prominent politicians and celebrities.

President Donald Trump and former President Bill Clinton were mentioned in those deposition transcripts. Both have denied any wrongdoing.
