JetBlue announces cuts to more flights
(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - JetBlue says it will be slashing flights and cutting costs.
On Tuesday, the airline announced a round of cost-cutting measures, including fewer routes to several U.S. states and major metropolitan airports such as John F. Kennedy International Airport.
The carrier will reduce spending by pausing plans to retrofit four of its older Airbus A320 jets with new interiors and park them.
The company will also trim overhead by combining some leadership roles and slowing hiring as it looks to get back on firmer financial ground after a tough year marked by higher costs and a failed merger with Spirit Airlines.
