CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Tornado touches down in Minnesota

NORTH MANKATO, Minn. (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - A tornado was spotted spinning in a field in North Mankato, Minnesota Monday amid a tornado warning for the area.

Video filmed by Damian White of Vern's Valley shows the structure rotating rapidly while moving down a plain.

"This is an OBSERVED tornado about five miles north of Mankato," the National Weather Service (NWS) announced in a post on X.

"Strong storms continue along a line near Princeton, near Shakopee, and near Mankato. All of these storms have shown signs of rotation at times, with the Mankato storm producing a tornado," the NWS said in a separate post.
