Arkansas residents brace for ‘stormy holiday weekend’

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - Timelapse footage captured rain showers and thunderstorms moving into the Little Rock metropolitan area on Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service (NWS) urged area residents to "remain weather aware today, especially if you have outdoor plans" on Saturday.

This footage was taken at the NWS' Regional Office in North Little Rock.

The NWS said a "stormy holiday weekend" was in the forecast, predicting "multiple rounds of storms will move through AR nightly."
