Flamingos at a Texas zoo graduate to new habitat

FORT WORTH, Texas (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - Young flamingos graduated from being in a nursery to living with the rest of their flock at their habitat in Fort Worth Zoo in Texas.

The 12 lesser flamingos would be joining the adult birds in their flock in the flamingo habitat, Fort Worth Zoo said.

According to the zoo, the chicks were raised by keepers from incubation, with round-the-clock care including "routine daily feedings, veterinary care and daily walks."

Fort Worth Zoo released footage on their X account showing keepers bringing the six oldest flamingos, ranging from two- to three-months-old, on their last daily walk with keepers before they join their new habitat.
