Beaver celebrates ninth birthday at Oregon Zoo

PORTLAND, Ore. (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - A beloved beaver at the Oregon Zoo celebrated their ninth birthday with a carrot treat, adorable video shows.

Footage released by the zoo, located in Portland, on Tuesday, shows Maple, a North American beaver, snacking on carrots and taking a dip in the water.

"Happy beavday Maple! The Branch (and Carrot) Manager is 9 today," the zoo said in a post on their X account.

Maple joined the zoo in 2020.
