Ex-Disney World employee sentenced to three years in prison

(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - An ex-Disney World employee has been sentenced to three years in prison and fined nearly $700,000 for hacking into menus at the park's restaurants.

Federal prosecutors say Michael Scheuer of Winter Garden, Florida, changed allergy information, menu prices, and added profanity to the menus.

They also say he changed details about wine regions to reference the location of recent mass shootings, and locked certain employees out of their company accounts.

Scheuer was fired from Disney World in 2024 for misconduct.

During his time at Disney, he worked as a menu production manager.
