Kentucky governor says six people were killed in flood
FRANKFORT, Ky. (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - Drone footage showed the extent of devastating flooding in Frankfort, Kentucky, Monday after Governor Andy Beshear confirmed four people had been killed.
Beshear said an an eight-year-old boy was among the four killed in the state's historic flooding.
A flood warning remained in effect for portions of central Kentucky, as streams continued to rise, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
A curfew remained in effect between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Eastern for flood-affected areas of Frankfort, the city government announced, as the Kentucky River remained at a "major flood stage."
During a press conference Tuesday, Governor Beshear said two more people have died in the flood, a 27-year-old McCracken County man and a 65-year-old Trigg County man.
