Sunday marks National Puppy Day

(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - Most pet owners celebrate their furry, four-legged friends every day, but there's now an extra reason to shower even more love for man's best friend.

Sunday is National Puppy Day.

The day was created in 2006 by pet lifestyle expert Colleen Paige as a way to bring awareness to the number of dogs in need of permanent homes.

Whether you want to celebrate by going for a long walk or going to a dog park, just have a paw-tastic time with your cute, irrestistible ball of fluff.
