New Orleans authorities investigate early morning shooting

NEW ORLEANS, Loui. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Wednesday morning in New Orleans.

Police say it happened at the corner of Royal and Canal Street shortly after midnight. Authorities say at least three people were shot.

One person was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated.

The cause of the shooting is under investigation.
