Nevada judge sets bail for Tupac murder suspect
CLARK COUNTY, Neva. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Bail has been set at $750,000 for the man charged with murder in the killing of rapper Tupac Shakur.
Duane Davis appeared Tuesday for a hearing in Clark County District Court after his attorney filed a motion for either his release on his own recognizance or the setting of reasonable bail.
After hearing arguments from both sides, Judge Carli Kierny set bail for davis with the conditions of a source hearing and house arrest, with sources saying Davis has to provide the court with proof of where he obtained the amount being posted for bond.
A grand jury indicted Davis for murder in the fatal shooting of Shakur in 1996. He is the only person charged in connection with the case, and he has remained held at Clark County Detention Center since his arrest.
The next status check hearing for the case is scheduled for February 20.
