New Mexico DA to file charges against Rust filmmakers over fatal shooting
(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Charges against Alec Baldwin in connection with the fatal shooting on the "Rust" film set will be formally filed Tuesday.
In detail, the actor and the film's armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, are both facing a charge of involuntary manslaughter. This is in regards to the death of Halyna Hutchins.
Baldwin, holding a prop gun, fired a live round, shooting and killing Hutchins. This occurred while the actor was rehearsing a scene at the time of the incident.
If convicted, Baldwin would face up to 18 months in jail and a $5,000 fine.
