CNN- Walmart had a disappointing holiday.

America's largest retailer reported Tuesday, just a 1.9% increase in sales during the final quarter of 2019.

That included a 35% spike in online sales.

Walmart's Chief Financial Officer Brett Biggs said in a news release those numbers were not as good as expected.

There were six fewer days last year between Thanksgiving and Christmas than in 2018.

According to Walmart, the shorter holiday season contributed to the slowdown.
