U.S. military carries out strike against alleged drug vessel

(NBC, KYMA) - The U.S. military has carried out another strike against an alleged drug smuggling vessel, this time in the Eastern Pacific.

According to U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), the strike killed three people.

Citing intelligence in a social media post, SOUTHCOM writing that the vessel was traveling along known narco-trafficking routes in the eastern Caribbean.

They say that it was operated by designated terrorist organizations and engaged in alleged narco-trafficking.

No U.S. military forces were harmed.

Since September, the military has conducted strikes against boats in the Caribbean and Pacific that it alleges are involved in drug trafficking.
