Second U.S. Navy jet lost at sea, two people rescued
(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - Another U.S. Navy fighter jet has been lost in the Red Sea. This is the second jet lost from the U.S.S. Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier in just over a week.
It is not yet clear what happened, but there was reportedly some kind of failure as the jet was trying to land on the carrier.
Two people, including the pilot, had to eject. They were both rescued with minor injuries. However, the jet has not yet been recovered.
This comes just one week after another fighter jet fell overboard the Truman. According to initial reports, it happened when the truman made a hard turn to evade Houthi fire.
