Protesters gather ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris’ visit to Mexico

MEXICALI, B.C. (KYMA, KECY) - Migrant activists protest outside the American Consulate in Tijuana ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris' visit to Mexico.

Activists demand the U.S. government stop mass deportations at the borders. The group leader, Ángeles Sin Fronteras, Sergio Tamai, is seeking an explanation from the U.S. government regarding the issue at the border.

Vice President Harris is scheduled to meet with Mexico's President Andrés Manuel López Obrador on Tuesday, June 8, to discuss the situation at the border. In addition, activists plan to meet next Monday to discuss the massive deportations Tijuana and Mexicali borders continue to face.
