Volunteers help local youth in need get new clothes, school supplies

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Community volunteers from the Yuma Branch of Boys & Girls Club of the Valley took students back-to-school shopping Saturday morning.

15 students were selected to go on the shopping spree at Kohl's based on financial need and outstanding behavior.

The students were granted exclusive access to the store for one hour and received special discounts worth up to $250 per student.

"All of our members at Boys and Girls Club are very special to all of us. These 15 kids we selected are great kids coming from great families, " said Rowena Regalado, Yuma Branch Director of the Boys and Girls Club of the Valley.

The annual event is presented by Cigna and allows local youth in need to get new clothes and school supplies.
