Representative from Senator Kelly’s office visits AWC-Yuma
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Arizona Western College (AWC) Yuma Campus staff met with a representative from Senator Mark Kelly's office.
In a press release, the meeting with Katherine Phillips, Legislative Assistant to Senator Kelly, took place on Tuesday, June 27 to discuss the needs of the institution and addressing said needs at a state and national level.
AWC also said that the staff and Phillips spoke about congressional funding requests and Senator Kelly's future programming interests "that would impact the state in a meaningful way."
The AWC staff who attended the meeting include:
- Ashley Herrington, AWC Chief of Staff
- Alexis Susdorf, AWC Government Relations Lobbyist and owner of State48 Public Affairs
- Representatives from the Arizona Western Entrepreneurial College (AWEC):
- Dr. Joann Chang, Executive Director and Dean of Healthcare Programs
- Cinthia Alvarez, Director of Nursing
- Jim Larson, Director of Manufacturing
