Humane Society of Yuma partners with local casinos for a good cause
The Humane Society of Yuma is an animal shelter that cares for over 6,000 animals annually
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Humane Society of Yuma was chosen by Quechan Casino Resort and Paradise Casino to be one of the non-profit organizations where casino customers can choose to donate their spare change at redemption kiosks.
The kiosk software solution provides casino customers with a platform to easily donate the change from ticket vouchers to pre-selected charities during the ticket redemption process on the kiosk.
This gives customers the opportunity to donate to non-profit organizations and help support local communities by giving.
"We’re thrilled to have been selected by both casinos and appreciate their support. We partner with the Quechan tribe in other ways as well including animal intakes and community support,” stated Executive Director Annette Lagunas. “This opportunity to be a recipient of the spare change will assist us as we continue our efforts to care for homeless animals.”
Quechan tribe CFO Michael Marr shared his thoughts, “The management of Quechan Casino Resort and Paradise Casino is delighted to provide our customers an opportunity to donate the change from their ticket vouchers for the benefit of the Humane Society of Yuma, so that the Society can continue its much needed care of neglected animals.”
