7th Annual ‘Toast to Hope’ sells out

KYMA

This year's event is expected to bring in over $60,000

YUMA, Ariz. (KECY, KYMA) - Catholic Community Services (CCS) is holding its annual Toast to Hope fundraiser Saturday.

The fundraiser is essential for the organization and community members.

CCS runs Yuma's only domestic violence shelter and delivers over 5,000 meals weekly to local seniors, many of which are homebound.

This year’s Toast to Hope features an auction with prizes like a foosball table cooler, a ride along with the Rural Metro Fire Department and Phoenix Suns Tickets.

The Catholic Community Services Executive Director says this event brings in tens of thousands of dollars a year.

“This year we’re expecting to bring in over 60 thousand dollars, which would be really helpful and is much needed for our programs,” Catholic Community Services Executive Director Evita Mendez-Counts said.

It is the 7th annual Toast to Hope and the event is sold out.

You can still contribute to help CCS with their missions by donating in person to their offices on 32nd Street near the Big Curve or online.
