Suspect pursued by YPD before rolling over makes first court appearance

He faces three felony charges.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma man who was involved in a roll over crash after being pursued by police made his first appearance in court.

Thursday, March 31, 29-year-old Antonio Gutierrez-Ceballos could face three felony charges for an incident involving armed robbery with a weapon and aggravated assault.

He has yet to be formally charged.

The criminal charges against Gutierrez-Ceballos are for an armed robbery which took place at a Walmart on Monday.

It was stated in a police report he displayed a handgun to an employee after being confronted over stolen items.

The suspect fled the scene.

The report continued to state that he was later pursued on Wednesday when the vehicle roll over occurred.

It was stated in court, "Due to the fact that you have other pending felony matters in Superior Court and now have been arrested on new alleged felony charges, I will be holding you no bond... no release due to the rule of 7.2 B1B."

Gutierrez-Ceballos is being held on probable cause and will face a Judge on Monday.
