Midnight at the Oasis makes its return after a long wait

After the event couldn't be held last year due to COVID-19, the community welcomed it back with open arms - 13 On Your Side's Luis Lopez reports

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - One of Yuma’s favorite events made its return after a two year wait. Midnight At The Oasis is currently going on over at Desert Sun Stadium.

The event was cancelled last year due to COVID-19. On Saturday however, the event is in full swing, with over 1,000 classic cars on display.

Those who went also had the chance to enjoy food, drinks, and live music.

The event was put on by the Caballeros De Yuma, who were thrilled to bring the show back.

The man in charge of the event, Travis Smith, was happy to see the community come out.

“I’m tickled that there are so many people that are ready to be back to a normal life and get out here and enjoy the nice weather and the beautiful cars,” Smith said.

The event will continue until Sunday evening.
