Groundbreaking ceremony for new Yuma County Administration Building

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A groundbreaking ceremony was held Monday for a new Yuma County Administration Services building.

It will be coming to Historic Downtown Yuma located on Main Street and 2nd Street.

The county hopes to have it completed by 2025.

There will be eight departments coming to the building including Treasurer, Assessor, Recorder, Board of Supervisors, and Administration.

The building should have around 180 employees.

Yuma County Board of Supervisors for District 1, Martin Porcha, stated this new building is for the community and will be seen as a one-stop shop.
