34-year-old woman arrested for Tuesday burglary

Yuma County Sheriff's Office

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) arrested a woman in connection to a burglary.

YCSO said the burglary happened January 10 near E. South Frontage Road and County 11th St.

When YCSO arrived to the crime scene, they stumbled upon a blood trail; they then took samples of the blood and submitted them for evidence.

After that, a YCSO investigator used the RapidHIT instrument and identified the suspect as 34-year-old Whitney Brooks of Yuma.

Once they confirmed the identity, YCSO located, arrested and booked Brooks into the Yuma County Detention Center on January 19.

The charges Brooks faces include theft, criminal damage, criminal trespass, and 3rd degree burglary.
