One person injured in Sunday morning collision

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma Police Department (YPD) responded to a crash in the area near E. Gila Ridge Road and S. Avenue 4E.

According to a press release, the crash occurred on Sunday, January 8 at approximately 6:37am.

Furthermore, they learned that a 25-year-old man, traveling westbound, lost control of his gray 1995 Honda Accord collided with a barrier.

After that, medical personnel transported the driver to the Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC). However, the driver later went to a hospital in Phoenix as he sustained severe injuries.

While speed didn't factor in the crash, the YPD is encouraging anyone with information to dial (928) 783-4421. That or dial the 78-CRIME number at (928) 782-7463 to remain anonymous.

If your information leads to an arrest, then you may receive a cash reward up to $1,000.
