Ballet Yuma hosts its annual Sugar Plum Tea Party

A little closer to normalcy as dancers from Ballet Yuma enchant guests

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Nothing says the holidays like the lighting of the water tower at Friendship Park and of course the Nutcracker.

It's become a tradition for families to come together and watch in awe as dancers tell a story that's been around for more than a century. The tale of a toy soldier coming to life has mesmerized audiences for decades and like in years past the annual Sugar Plum Tea Party is a prelude to the big event.

It's a Tea Party unlike any other, the social event stirs in tea, snacks, and of course a little dance. Attendees get a sneak peek of this year's Nutcracker. All the while, the story is being nerrated.

Tickets for the Sugar Plum Tea Party are $45 and can be purchased via the Ballet Yuma website. As for the Nutcracker the play is set for December 10th - 12th.
