Fentanyl use now amongst teenagers

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)- The use of deadly drug Fentanyl continues to rise in the country.

The National Forensic Laboratory Information System reports fentanyl use increased from nearly 5,400 in 2014 to over 14,600 in 2015. The number rising with teenagers as the newest group to overdose on the drug.

Fentanyl is estimated to cost around $10 to $20.

Officials are advising parents to be extra vigilant as this epidemic continues to grow. They warn this drug is highly addictive. Once taken, it leads to health problems or even death.
