City of El Centro selects candidates to interview for council seat
EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The El Centro City Council has announced the top eight candidates moving forward to the interview stage to fill a vacant seat.
A meeting was held on Tuesday, April 8 to discuss who would move onward to be interviewed.
The following are the top eight candidates:
- Edgard Garcia
- Jason Jackson
- Cheryl Viegas-Walker
- Richard Lopez
- Michael Crankshaw
- David Dhillon
- Raymond Loera
- Carlos Ramirez
The City of El Centro received 16 applications to fill the seat, and those selected will be interviewed on April 16.
A swearing-in ceremony will be held on April 21 for whoever is selected for city council.
