Police activity at El Centro RV park

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - We have reports of heavy police activity Friday morning at the Country Life RV Park in El Centro.

The park, located at Ross Ave. and Highway 111, has Highway Patrol and police vehicles parked in the area.

KYMA reached out the Imperial County Sheriff's Office (ICSO) Friday morning, but they did not want to confirm any details. citing that the investigation was still active and ongoing.

One neighbor, Daniel Acevedo, believes it was a family involved in the possible shooting.

"Imagine someone doing something on your property. Everyone must feel bad and sad, and this time, they are family members. This is very hard for them." Acevedo expressed.

While KYMA waits to confirm the details from ICSO, the community was left struggling to make sense of the tragic incident.
