Officer-involved shooting occurred in El Centro
EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - An officer-involved shooting occurred during the early morning hours of Christmas Eve.
Through a press release, the incident happened at approximately 1:18am, in the corner of Industry Way and E. Heil Ave.
Earlier that night, officers of the El Centro Police Department (ECPD) responded to a burglary at Industry Way.
Once they arrived, the suspect and officers exchanged gunfire, resulting in the suspect sustaining a gunshot wound.
While the officers performed life-saving medical efforts, medical personnel took over and transported the suspect for medical treatment.
